This web site is dedicated to the artists, craft people and the public who want to discover the magic of fibers in the world of art. I have created this site to share my love of art in the magnificent world of woven and non woven fiber.
There are many ways to view the magical universe of fiber in art. This site is organized into two domains: the first encompasses Woven Fiber Art. The second domain is dedicated to Non-Woven Fiber Art.

I hope you like this paper. The paper shows multiple types of designs and color combinations. From deep shadows to translucent highlights, colors materialize into organic shapes. Created from within my unconscious self, I am continually suprised by the amount of layering each piece takes. Please visit the current collection of 30 paper works to experience the one of a kind expressions of Art on rice paper.
About this Gallery: For the past several years I’ve been drawing and painting a series of Spirit Women. They are painted on rice paper and mounted on woven natural fiber that I’ve dyed. These women are archetypes or prototypes of female myths and feminine energies. When I start drawing them I do not use a model or a photograph, nor do I have an image in mind. I let the brush begin painting and they materialize, often slowly, but surely. As the series progressed, I became curious about the source of these images. Apparently they are patterns of thought and symbolic imagery that are inherited and present in our unconscious minds, often referred to as the collective unconscious. The naming of each one and her attributes was another exercise in fantasy on my part.
